Dealin.Green and Carbon Grass have announced a strategic partnership to further develop and market the cultivation and application of Miscanthus, also known as elephant grass. This collaboration focuses on increasing market opportunities and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Expansion of assortment Dealin.Green
With the addition of Miscanthus rhizomes, the innovative hybrid Athena®, to Dealin.Green's assortment, both parties are further expanding their contribution to sustainable agriculture and carbon sequestration. Known for its high yield, the hybrid Athena®can generate up to 10% more biomass than other varieties, making it ideal as a feedstock for biobased construction.
Sustainable cultivation and support
Carbon Grass has developed a unique process to plant Miscanthus in existing grassland, without the need to tear up the grass beforehand. This process, which uses special machinery, is particularly suitable for, among others, (retiring) cattle farmers who want to make their land more sustainable. In addition, an organic protocol has been developed for planting and growth stimulation, which ensures a turnout rate of more than 90%. This protocol encourages rapid and effective crop emergence and growth.
Dealin.Green's platform for marketing and carbon credits
Dealin.Green is an expert in the biobased chain, connecting farmers and builders. In addition to cultivation guidance, Dealin.Green deploys its trading platform to ensure guaranteed sales of Miscanthus products and to support growers with access to carbon credits. This offers growers not only a sustainable crop, but also a financially attractive perspective.
Agronomic support
To best support growers during the start-up and planting process, Dealin.Green and Carbon Grass offer comprehensive cultivation guidance. This includes advice and practical assistance in the implementation of Miscanthus cultivation, helping growers to a successful start and sustainable results.
With this partnership, Dealin.Green and Carbon Grass are taking an important step towards a more sustainable agricultural sector. Miscanthus not only offers growers an innovative and environmentally friendly solution, but also contributes to the transition to a low-carbon economy.
